Why is Nutrition So Important?

What we eat and drink on a daily basis affects our health and overall well-being immensely. Hundreds of millions of Americans suffer from some type of chronic disease that correlates back to our diet. Health problems such as chronic fatigue, allergies, digestive problems, headaches, joint pain, etc. can be directly related to the food we eat. It has become conventional to treat our ailments with drugs and over the counter medications. Unfortunately, these drugs do not treat the underlying cause; they only treat our symptoms and mask the problem. In order to truly feel better it is important to address the cause of our health problems, and for most of us, nutrition is the answer.

Our Services

Through nutritional counseling, Dr. Heyer is able to provide helpful recommendations on healthy food choices and nutritional supplements.

Furthermore, Dr. Heyer can employ a "Three-Step Detox Program" to treat the underlying causes of his patients' chronic health challenges. This program uses a holistic approach and involves chiropractic adjustments, nutritional supplements, and an anti-inflammatory diet. The Three-Step Detox Program works to solve issues related to structural problems, hidden food allergies, toxic overload, cell malnourishment, joint damage, and much more. This program does not involve expensive, time-consuming testing, but rather addresses all of the most common underlying causes of disease.

  • Step 1 focuses on reducing chronic inflammation by removing common food allergens and adding anti-inflammatory supplements to inhibit inflammatory reponses. This step is 10 days long. Following the diet regiment is essential.
  • Step 2 involves a thorough detox that aims at eliminating toxins and harmful bacteria from the body. This step is 10 to 20 days long, depending on what Dr. Heyer sees fit. Following the diet regimen is essential.
  • Step 3 is the "rebuild and repair" phase of the program. During this step, you will provide your body with the essential building blocks it needs to repair damaged joints, tissue, etc. This step will last at least 30 days. Following the diet regimen is essential.

Dr. Heyer has had a lot of success in treating his patients with this program. Some of the health challenges he has addressed include, but are not limited to:

  2. Joint or muscle pain
